Top 40 band formed by nucleus of Mars. Members included founding brothers Elliot Freed (bass, vocals, keyboards) and Brian Freed (drums), Jeannie Freed (rhythm guitar), Benny Mays (keys, guitar, vocals ex-Maxie, Brimstone and as solo artist), Jimmy Neeson (guitar). In 1984 Jeannie left the group to start her family and female musicians included Ellie Reyes (1984-1985), Dee Crites Kinsey (keys, guitar, vocals) (1985-1987), and Gina Croce (1987). Sound technician Mike Cook. Neeson left the group in late ’86 and was replaced with Paul Zahn (ex-groups throughout the mid-west including Mary Burns).
Venues included the Hyatt Regency, Electric Circus, Maxwells, high schools and colleges……

They released a single in 1986 “Get Funky” (written by Benny Mays) b/w “Look At Me (Woman).” (written by Dee Crites Kinsey). They were featured on WJZ’s “Shakedown” TV show on May 31, 1986 and performed “Get Funky.”
Dee also played and recorded with ’80s band Modern Vogue (noted as Dee Dee Crites). Freed at Last morphed into the band Playground.
