101.9-FM played light adult contemporary music station billed as “Music of Your Life”. Prior to becoming WLIF the station had been known as WTOW, WAQE, WFBR-FM in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Moving along with the times, the format evolved to include light rock. Personalities included Dick Ireland (formerly of WJDY, Salisbury), Debbie Cerri, Dave Humphrey, Michael Filippelli, Jim Ward, Hank Bashjian, Dave Thomson, Gary Hamilton, Ken Merson… Tim Camponeschi aka ‘Slim Man’ hosted “Smooth Jazz Brunch” and recorded commercial radio jingles.
