Hard covers and originals band. Members included Keith Amtmann (lead guitar, vocals), Mike Henz (lead guitar, vocals), Calvin Puppe (bass), and ‘Crazy Jack’ Connolly (drums). Puppe was later replaced with Frank Pilkerton. Henz was replaced briefly with Mark Wagner (winter 1972). Winn Krozak (keyboards –Apricot Brandy) also sat in.
Wildfire plied the teen center circuit throughout town. They performed at the Parkville American Legion with blues harpist Tom Bell, and in summer 1973 competed in a battle of the bands at the Philadelphia Spectrum. Magician Dale McCabe shared many bills with Wildfire.
Amtmann later co-founded Wild Mouse. Connolly toured nationally as a comedian, ventriloquist, and karaoke DJ. Henz moved to Florida where he continued performing with bands including a Led Zeppelin tribute act.
