Country group formed by bassist Ben Smith (ex-L.C. Smith band) who recalled “our standing 2-night a week gig was at the Southern Inn on Dundalk Ave. The band included Ted Smith on guitar, Bill Sullivan on drums and at various times either Lynn Strauff or Romy Crouse on steel guitar. The female singer was a “little person” with a great voice named ‘Little Norma’.”

“I left Stone Country in late ‘70, but the band continued for some time thereafter, with Ted Smith’s cousin, Chris Daniels replacing me. A year or so later, Stone Country disbanded, and while I lost track of the guys, Little Norma continued performing and enjoyed a fine singing career.”
Ben went on to freelance with bands led by Johnny Saii, Ben Langley, and was a member of Frank Turner’s band… Also see – Little Norma & the Big Boys
