The Soul Marques band backed the vocals of the Conclusions. Members of the Soul Marques as of December 1968 were Matt Immler (guitar), Chuck Rockwell (guitar), Craig Baader (bass), Chuck Hatfield (organ), Marshall Temple (congas), George Toulas (drums), Jay Batterden (trombone), Jay Fox (sax), Jeff Jensen, and Bob Bryan (trumpet). The Conclusions vocal group members were Sonny Martin, Charles Bruce, Michael Dow, and Thomas ‘Tommy’ Gaither. Sal Damico later became the lead singer (ex- Tor-Tones, Syndicate of Time).



In May 1968 they competed in a battle of the bands at the Ellicott City Armory hosted by WCAO’s Paul Rodgers and Frank Luber. In June 1968 they won third place (behind Denny & the Chadwicks, and the Deltas) at the Teen Fair Battle of the Bands held at the Civic Center.


The band also appeared at many teen dances including gigs at Howard High School, Northwestern High, Johnnycake Jr. High School, Our Lady of Victory, Our Lady of Hope Teen Center, St. Rita’s Teen Center, Our Lady of Fatima, and Shrine of the Little Flower CYO’s. They also played for the Rolling Road School Benefit for Cerebral Palsy on December 1, 1968.
Members of the Conclusions with the Soul Marques teamed up with the band Archaeopteryx in 1970 to form the group Salt and Pepper.
Damico later went on to Snack Pack. In the ‘00s he performed with his band Zip Drive.
