Woodlawn based pop and dance music band also known by nickname The Stackers.

Members included vocalists Vince Presti, Mark Mooney, Stu (?), and Laura (?); guitarists Ed Kernan, Don Lanzi; bassists Mike Frentz, Jim Charlsen (ex-Wicca), Paul Zinz, Don Rogers (ex-Dryed Ice); keyboardists George Chiles, Tom Reid, Dave Bostwick, John Myers; drummers Bill Johnson (ex-Jades); trumpets Chris Grimaldi, Rick Starsoneck, Rick Henry; tenor sax / flute Tom McCormick, Bruce Ingram; trombones Rick Starsoneck, and Jim Kinsey who was also the road manager.

They performed at teen centers and CYO’s, school dances, adult social clubs, nightclubs, and private parties… Venues included Steelworkers Hall, Hollywood Palace, Sweeney’s, Pier 7, Eastwind…

The group doubled as Brass Tax circa 1973-74. Members of the band became known as Steppin’ Out in the ‘80s. McCormick later with Both Worlds… Kernan later with Brian New Combo…
