The Shadows performed in 1972 and 1973. The original members were Jim Mays (bass) and Harvey Aviles (lead guitar) from the Koffee Beans, Bill Higgins (rhythm guitar) from Heavy Duty, and Ray Mack (drums) from Sun. Shortly after its inception Lou Campagnoli, another former Koffee Bean, took over on drums. Stan Martin and Stan Jones served as roadies. As other former members of the Koffee Beans joined the band, the band changed its name from The Shadows back to the Koffee Beans. They continued to play as The Beans for another seven years.
