Accomplished bass guitarist began his career playing in many local bands including the Ravins, Exit, Tugboat, The Gigs, Bruce Westcott Band… In 1986 Michael was winner of the national Marshall Sunn Solo Contest. His recording “Grand Prize Stun Solo” was released as a limited collector’s edition flexi-disc in the January 1987 issue of Guitar Player magazine. As a professional Michael played for ex-Styx guitarist Dennis DeYoung’s solo projects as well as with keyboardist Felix Cavaliere.

In 1994 Michael and his brother Tony formed the band bONEhead. The group released a 1995 CD titled “Genius.” By 1997 the group became known as Banging Rush and released an album titled “Holiday in Eden.”

Michael has earned the nationally recognized Telly Award in recognition for his independent production work for non-network TV. He also worked as producer / composer of music for the Black Entertainment Television (BET) cable network.

Michael released the CD “Edge,” on the AOR Heaven label in 1999. Musicians appearing on the album were Tony Sciuto (lead guitar), Tony Phillips (lead guitar), Don Jackson (keyboards), Taso Kotsos (drums), David Prater (drums), John Schwartz (drums), and Viki Childs (vocals). Michael also appears on Tony’s releases including the album “Tony Sciuto Live in Japan – At the 1981 American Music Festival” (Cool 117, released in 2004), the 2004 album release “Diamond in The Rough” (Cool 116), and “Be My Radio” 1999 release featuring the Sciuto brothers, Paul Soroka, Jeff Pescetto, and members of Toto.

Michael also made television appearances as a member of the fictitious band Jesse & the Rippers featuring actor John Stamos on the TV sit-com “Full House.”
