Rock band formerly known as Tailwynd. Ellsworth Hall (keyboards, vocals), Mike Mercer (rhythm guitar), Jay Wise (guitar, later in Quikfire in the ‘80s), Mark Van Natta (guitar), Bill Myers (bass), and Brian Powell (drums). Sabre went through a couple of lead singers, and by mid-‘79 Bill and Brian were replaced with Steve Van Order (bass, later joined Southern Breed, Mannekin) and Mike McGraw (drums). Sabre played in West Virginia, PA, and the greater Baltimore area at places like the Steelworkers Hall in Dundalk, and the Sandbar where they opened for Facedancer.

The group split up in early 1980. Ells and Mark went on to do some duo gigs before forming Affinity later in the year.
