Sometime later Jimmy and Maria Rose eventually divorced. Maria Rose and Danny later married and continued to work together, more recently as a duo.

Maria Rose released a local single “Can We Still Be Friends” b/w “Hey, There You Go Again.” The A-side written by Bill Anderson charted Top-10 on WPOC and reached number 1 on WISZ. Maria competed on TNN’s “You Can Be a Star” talent show. She went on to make appearances on the Wheeling Jamboree, Ernest Tubb Radio Show, CSA Jamboree TV Show broadcast from the Big Dipper in Beltsville, and performed on tours featuring such top country artists as Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Shenandoah, Ronnie McDowell, Waylon Jennings, and many others.

Maria wrote the song “You Are the Flame” in 1996 that became an annual tribute to honor participants of the Special Olympics.

In the ‘00s Maria performed in a duo with guitarist/vocalist Danny Elswick. She also performed with the Blue Horizon Band and could be seen locally at county fairs, fireman’s carnivals throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania.
