Lansdowne area pop/rock and Top-40 group originally started as Hot Flash consisting of Joe Reyes (guitar), Phil Reyes (bass), Bob Lingeman (drums), and Ellie Stevenson (lead vocals, guitar, percussion, flute, keyboards). Tom Reyes (keyboards ex-Ajax, Orange Wedge) joined the group as they became known as The Reyes Brothers Band.
Lingeman was replaced with Joe Vecchioni (ex-Revolver) in 1979. Stevenson, with her 3 octave range, fronted the group until leaving in 1981 to form the group Smartz. The Reyes Brothers group added two vocalists Heidi Krauss and Laurie Conrad.
The Reyes Brothers performed at Bojangles, Mr. Pipps, Scandals, Fallston Inn, Harborplace, Timonium Fairgrounds, Italian Festival…
The group re-formed in the ‘00s.
Joe Reyes later with Floyd Bauers… Tom Reyes joined the jazz group Lovecraft in 1999.
