Originally formed “to dispose of explosive blowoff from the rigors of running Two Stoned Kids… mixing kaleidoscope space rock originals with covers as wildly varying as King Crimson to The Dead Kennedys” as described by bass guitarist and vocalist John Cochran. The short-lived trio also included Garren Glimes (guitar, vocals), and Steve Bartlett (drums).

Raw Sewage gigs included a Putty Hill Park concert with Towson band Harmonix on August 13, 1983, and a benefit for a Cockeysville drug treatment center where they shared the bill with Beavers Cleavers, and Food for Worms.

The group split in fall of 1983 after Bartlett left for college.
