The Pedestrians rock band featured Viki Childs (vocals), Michael Sciuto (bass ex-Ravins, Exit), Tony Sciuto (guitar, vocals  ex-Ravins, Meat, Jake, Tugboat, Sirprize), Joe Ercole (keyboards), and Taso Kotsos (drums ex-Secrets). Other members included Tony Phillips (guitar, vocals ex-Tiffany), Don Jakowski (keyboards, vocals).

They were seen at the Golden Arm at Taylor Avenue and Loch Raven Boulevard, Signatures, The Barn, Samantha’s in Ocean City.

The group won a local Willie Nelson Wrangler competition and went to Austin, Texas for a chance to compete for a national title. They came in 2nd out of 20+ bands from around the country. The Pedestrians also performed at Oregon Ridge on August 18, 1986 in a concert to benefit the Maryland Vietnam Veterans Fund. An album was released titled “Maryland Vietnam Veterans Memorial Concert – 1986” (Tango 001) and featured their original songs “Don’t Let Go” and “Testify.”

Ercole released the solo album “Manhattan Nights” in 1999. He also played for the jazz group Bona Fide who released the albums “Royal Function” in 1999 and “The Poe House” (2001). His song “The Avenue” as recorded by Bona Fide was featured on the HBO series “Sex and The City.” As a producer Joe worked with pop superstars such as Christine Aguilera including her 2001 CD “Just Be Free.” Kotsos later played for Banging Rush, and the Michael Sciuto band. He co-wrote and performed “Clean Sweep” with Gary Thomas Griffin, a song included on the movie soundtrack “All-American Murder” (1992). Phillips was also a member of Banging Rush. Childs later with the Klassix… Ercole later released solo CD…
