Goth rock band formed in 1989 by Fritz T. Fell (guitar), and Mike Barton (bass) both former members of Frit’z Dynamite, adding Nat Bradley (lead vocals), and Shawn Zigler (drums) both ex-Wicked Symphony.
From a demo tape letter submitted to Jimi jam at Rox Magazine in 1990 “What happens when a carpet layer, an exterminator, a business major and an oriental cook get together and have the same dream? A PARADE! But, not just any parade, an ORANGESEED Parade.”
The group played Max’s on Broadway, Maxwell’s, The Rage, Grog and Tankard, 9:30 Club in D.C., CBGB’s in New York.
They released a self-titled album in 1991.
From a 2005 interview with Burt Wolf, Shawn described Orangeseed Parade as “…Bauhaus type of moody shit. We were playing with a lot of hair Metal bands, but we were doing well for the simple fact it was different at that time.” It was the early ’90s and “we ended up folding because people didn’t get it back then.”
