Jazz-Pop singer/songwriter/guitarist originally from Georgia, his travels brought him to Baltimore where he took a job with WJZ-TV news department.
Russ performed as vocalist and guitarist at venues in the Baltimore-Annapolis area. He released 2 CD’s that featured an all-star cast of musicians from the area including Stef Scaggiari (piano), Mark Russell (bass), Greg Grainger (drums), Gerry Kunkel (guitar), Rob Holmes (sax), Joshua Scott (guitar), Al Williams III (sax, flute), and vocalists Sue Matthews (on first CD), Aleta Greene and Ethel Ennis (on second CD).
Russ also appears as vocalist on CD by The Annapolis Junction Big Swing Band.
