Underground rock band originally known as Fabrajax that played mostly original music. Members of the NE Baltimore trio included Rob Grant (guitar ex-Blues Limited), Tim Camponeschi (bass), and Brian Cain (drums). Vocalist Kathy McCabe (ex-Uncertain Things) joined the group in 1972.

A frequent performer at the Bluesette. Also seen at many local concerts such as the Wyman Park free concert on August 1, 1971 with Michael Goldberg, and Ames Oakes; U.A.W. Hall on January 21, 1972 with Blessed, U.A.W. Hall on March 10, 1972 with Cabbage; at the Famous Ballroom on Friday March 10, 1972 with Aux, and Wild Rice; also seen at the WKTK sponsored Flood Relief Benefit concert at Steelworkers Hall on August 22, 1972.

The group opened for Eric Carmen & the Raspberries, and Iggy Pop at the Latin Casino.

Momma Max was also known as Bernie & the Boys, named after one of their original songs.

In late ’72 an offshoot group formed called Candy Snacks.

Camponeschi went on to join Joshua, and Bootcamp. Grant later played with Tricks, Pooba… Cain also with Pooba, Paradise…
