Acoustic rock singer/songwriter/guitarist in the tradition of Joni Mitchell, Laura Nyro, and others. Angie lived in Columbia, then Baltimore through the early ‘90s then moved to Annapolis.
Some of her first gigs were in Fells Point, and on Maryland’s eastern shore at Terry Plowman’s The Front Page, and other clubs in Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City.
In early ‘90s Angie teamed up with guitarist/vocalist Jennifer Ferguson to form the duo Two Skirts. Soon afterward in Annapolis they formed the Angie Miller Band, whose early lineup included Jay Turner (bass ex-The Reason…), Topher Sisson (guitars ex-Walrus Bay…), Ryan Diehl (drums –Moon August, All Mighty Senators…), Dave Fairall (sax –Rude Shoes, Mambo Combo…)… The band released a collection of originals titled “Let It Rain.”
Miller and her band have performed at Rams Head, Wolf Trap, various Fells Point clubs (Cat’s Eye, The Horse You Came In On…), O’Brien’s (Annapolis), Quigley’s (D.C.), the Luna Park (Virginia), and at colleges up and down the Atlantic coast. Guitarist Danny Gatton made an appearance on her 1994 CD “Richochet” (Big Mo Records) produced by Timm Biery.
