Located at 521 N. Howard St., the store was bought from the G.C. Conn Company in 1948 by Vernon Meghan (an employee since the late 1920s) in partnership with George Baldwin.
Meghan played sax and clarinet professionally. The store helped many seasoned musicians as well as youngsters with their generous rental-purchase plan.
