Sykesville based hardcore metal band originally known as Stranger Than Fiction. Founded by Brian Daniloski (lead vocals, guitar), and Jason Daniloski (guitar, bass), with Ben Kraft (bass), and Mike Hill (drums). In 1996 Kraft was replaced with Eric Principio. By 1998 Principio left group and Jason played bass. The band continued as a trio of Daniloski brothers and Hill. Early ‘00s group featured new drummer Eric Dixon.

Meatjack’s recordings have appeared on a number of comps, split singles, and their own CD releases.

Meatjack toured nationally. Seen locally at Fletcher’s… Their song “Upstart” was featured in the 2000 John Waters film “Cecil B. Demented” and released on the soundtrack (RCA 63722).

Meatjack songs on various artists compilations include “Hogfat Clamhands” and “What Do You Do” on 1994 comp “Smirk, Titter & Wink – Volume one” (Crank 004-1), “Iceman” on 1995 comp “Homage” (Coolidge 17). “Hollow” was included on 1997 local band comp “Adventures in Mobtown” (Kwality 74202). “You Fuck” on 1999 comp “Manifest(o)” (Infernal Racket 5-2), “Head” on 2000 “Faux Pas Potpouri” (Very Small Records 87 label retrospective).
