Jazz keyboardist originally from Wheaton area. His 1993 debut CD featured Larry Bright (drums), Gary Grainger (bass), and Sheryl Bailey (guitar -Front Door). His 1997 CD “Urban Grooves was engineered and recorded by Bill Pratt at Bratt Studios. Studio musicians on the album were Kevin Powe (guitar), Stan Cooper (guitar), Mike Friend (percussion), Brad Johnson (bass), Kenny Wright (bass), Clifford Brown (drums), Larry Bright (drums), Ken ‘Professor’ Philmore (steel pans), Pam Frasier (vocals), Avon Lucas (bass), Johnny Long (sax), Bryan Charles (drums), and Mark Russell (bass).
Toured as a member of R&B group Heatwave, and with Wilson Pickett’s backing band.
Levine was one of the first local artists to utilize the internet and mp3 format for making his music available. The Wall Street Journal published an article when he reached a milestone one million downloads.
