Ray attended the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland and worked in radio and TV at several stations including WNAV, Annapolis. He tried his hand to make it in Nashville, he moved to Denmark for a time, then came full circle back to Pasadena. He gigged as a solo artist in clubs throughout central Maryland, and had independent CD releases. Single releases by Ray include 2021 “An Irish Girl” and “Long John’s Reel,” 2024 “The Blood Is Never on Their Hands,” “Chesapeake Son,” and “I’ll Fly” (with Rene Wulff of Norway).
