Members included Dudley Connell (guitar), Ron Welch (guitar), Tom Adams (banjo), David McLaughlin (mandolin), Eddie Stubbs (fiddle), Larry Robbins (bass), Ed D’Zmura (mandolin), Richard Underwood (banjo), Ira Gitlin (guitar, banjo)…

Record releases include a single on the Sandy Springs, Maryland based Copper Creek Records. Songs written by Connell and D’Zmura. They released a series of albums on Rounder Records in the ‘80s-90s including “The Johnson Mountain Boys” (0135), “Walls of Time” (0160), “Working Close” (0185), “We’ll Still Sing On” (0205). The group split up in 1988. After a two-year reunion they re-formed and stayed together for much of the ‘90s. Connell went on to join the Seldom Scene. Stubbs later went into radio, heard locally on WFMU-FM.
