Imagine fast paced drum beats, a smiling guitar, and a throbbing bass. Add all those sounds together and you get the punk-pop anthems of Inspected by 3. IB3 is a young punk rock band out of Pasadena, MD. Formed in June 1999, the band consisits of four young talents; Ryan Brooks on guitar and lead vocals, Josh Adkins on lead guitar and backing vocals, Ken (Jiz) Chislohm on bass and vocals, and Matt Kleier on percussion and vocals.
The band first started playing shows out of their basement and eventually moved on to smaller town halls and larger clubs in the Annapolis/Baltimore area. IB3 has rocked such venues as: the Vault, 8×10, Brass Monkey , Gurus, the Clipper and The Underground. The band has a tremendous following ranging from punk kids to people who just want to see a fun show.
Inspected By Three recorded their debut album in November 1999 at LSP studios in Annapolis, MD. The album was produced by Dave Benischek. “Fuzz” was released in mid-December 1999. In only one month the record sold out, selling in MD only. IB3 had help from local distributors such as Tower Records and Record and Tape Traders. Songs such as “Girl and a Guy” and “Sex Wax” give off very happy and goofy vibes whereas the song “Conspiracy” shows a more political side of the band.
