Viola grew up in Baltimore in a musical family. She and her siblings were always singing and dancing, entertaining family and friends. In high school she participated in “Showcase 57” talent shows. She later went away to attend Pennsylvania’s Keystone Job Corps, and PTC Career Institute where she earned a certificate in Business Administration.
A lifelong music lover and record collector of what she refers to as “Ol Skool Music”, she always supported local music groups, and in 2001 she began traveling cross-country to concerts and music seminars.
In 2004 she started “An Angel’s Touch Production” to spotlight and promote new Gospel talent.
In 2012 Viola started VG Productions and in 2013/2014 organized annual R&B awards ceremonies that she described as “to honor Legends of the Baltimore metropolitan area that never had the recognition, appreciation and support that they deserve, so in honor of these performers that entertained us over the years, we salute them with gratitude and appreciation and say thank you for your musical career.”
