The Green Dolphin on Pulaski Hwy. Now it is the site of Fastenal Company. Many groups performed there including Chicky Peluso & The Brass Menagerie. The venue hosted country music in the 1980’s when it was known as the Country Palace. In the 90’s it was a rock club called Mickey’s…

[Ed Kernan] This takes me back! I played bass for the Buddy Voelker big band from 1973 to 1976. The big band rehearsed every Saturday afternoon at the Green Dolphin. Later Buddy formed Brass Menagerie. Chickie was the singer for both the big band and Brass Menagerie. I joined Brass Menagerie as bassist late in 1978. As it worked out Brass Menagerie didn’t last too much longer after that, which is unfortunate. They were a really tight band with a very strong lineup.

[Bill Rettberg, Jr.] Love Chickie! Rudy, Chickie, and me go way back to the days of the Classical Five. I was photographing weddings and they were entertaining the folks. I shared more than a few after hour drinks at Martins Eudowood with that crew!!! Great people!

[Donna Harris] “Impulse”. Was a regular at the Green Dolphin..hated the ride back to Catonsville via harbor tunnel with one tube closed for cleaning, one lane each direction in other. Scary at 3 am.

[Shelley Anne Sealover] My 1st cocktail server job!! Roger Pace was playing and I remember Inez working the big bar, I had the small bar and the tables on the R.

[Brenda Jordan] THE place to go in the 70’s – The Italian Continentals, The Good Times …. ah, the memories.
