Claude Grant’s Trio in 1959 featured the legendary saxophonist Mickey Fields (see bio), along with drummer Harold White. They played mainly at the Avenue Musical Bar.

In 1960 the trio featured Grant (organ), with ex-Bim Bam Boo Trio members Willie Woodley (drums), and George Muldrow (tenor). They played at the Lucky Number Club on Poplar Grove (‘60), The Rhapsody (‘61) with vocalist Vicki from New York City. Also played the Stereo Club, the Club Casino, the Hideaway, and the Avenue Musical Bar in ‘64. Claude Grant & his Swingin’ Organ Combo often appeared at Judges on Greenmount Avenue.

Grant later played as house keyboardist at the Millrace Tavern on Franklintown Road.
