Top-40 group led by Reed Martin (vocals, sax ex-Gigs), with Gary Waugh (guitar, bass), Bill Chappel (keyboards), and Joe Reavis (drums ex-Moosical Migraine…). Waugh was later replaced with John Grant (guitar, bass). Fireworks performed throughout the Holiday Inn circuit and were a house band at the Hunt Valley location. Also seen at the Silver Fox Lounge, the Sly Fox, Westview Lounge, Chiaparelli’s, and the Ocean City club circuit.
Martin later with Staggerwing, Stranger, Horizon, Gazze… Waugh went on to join the Majestics. Grant was also a member of Krackerjax, the Middle River Band, and the Gary Proud Trio. He established his Secret Sound Studios in 1983 and has produced, engineered, and/or performed on recordings by countless local artists.
