Harwood Park/Elkridge based rock group. Bruce Stevens (lead vocals), John Wallace (lead guitar), Linwood Leonard (rhythm guitar), Bob Horsey (bass), George Dragoo (organ), and Larry Hackley (drums).
Bobby recalled “We certainly had fun in those days… Mostly we played at dive bars around Baltimore but also at frat parties, played Mt. Saint Joe High School, we won a battle of the bands at Howard High School. The band was pretty much the same through the years, but we were called the Sounds of Distortion for a while. I play at church now, keeps me out of trouble (laughs)”
Bruce Stevens passed away at age 32 of a brain tumor. Members reunited for a few songs at one of Steve Gruber’s parties at Grube’s Grub pit beef in Dorsey circa 2020.
