Rock & roll top 40 band from Howard County formed in early 1965. By October of that year, they were out playing the teen club circuit. The original members were Chris Horrel (lead guitar), Leroy Sealing (drums), John Schlicht (rhythm guitar ex-Decibels), and Mike Cotter (bass).

The Eppics played at the Fort Meade, Westminster, Columbia, Lisbon, Laurel Teen Clubs, and frequently appeared at the Last Straw Teen Center in Ellicott City where they battled it out on August 26, 1966 against the Horde, Demensions, and DJ & the Livelihoods.

In September 1967 the line-up had changed a little with Cotter being replaced with new bassist Dale Virgil, and Horrel being replaced on lead guitar by former Ardvark Bub Whitaker. A horn section was eventually added. This line-up continued into mid-1968 as the band played gigs at the Ellicott City Armory, Fort Meade Service Club, Walter Reed Veterans Hospital, Satyragrapha in Wilde Lake, and other local YMCA’s, school dances and teen clubs.
