Formed by members of the Midnight Suns and the Emotions after members of the two groups returned from serving in the military. In the spring of 1969, the two bands joined forces to play a blend of soul and hard rock. Members included Mike Wendt (guitar), Pat Wall (bass), Chris McMahon (organ), Frank Smith (drums), Gary Koontz (sax), and Ron Smelkinson (trombone ex-Charletons). Initial gigs had them playing at teen centers and dances including Corcoran Jr. High in Glen Burnie, and a school dance in Potomac, MD.
