Rosedale area Top-40 band featuring Rich Whitely (guitar ex-Scotch Grains), John Kotrla (bass ex-Laymen), Jimmy Rossi (sax), Mike Lang (keys), Bob Hughes (drums). Lang had previously been with the Scotch Grains. Whitely was later replaced with Jimmy Distler (ex-Notions).
Dichotomy played all the venues in the area and eventually secured a regular gig at Al Hoffman’s Lounge in Middle River playing on double bills with Al’s trio. They were also seen at one of their favorite night spots Sarano’s on Route 144. The group later morphed into Raintree County.
Distler left the group in 1969 and joined Papa Bear and later worked solo gigs and jam sessions. Rossi later played with the Dale Coleman Revue…
