Hampden area group originally known as David Taylor & the Jewish Twoish. Led by multi-instrumentalist Taylor (guitar, bass, sax, flute, keyboards), with George Alvey (bass) later replaced with Jeff Berkow (bass, guitar, vocals), and Bruce Sandler (drums). They played original music described as partly Zappa-like with tinges of rock, blues, and country. Taylor had formerly been a member of Omar St Groovey’s Snake Stompin’ Revue with Greg Kihn.

Clipper Mill was seen at various local festivals including Read Street, Druid Hill, Wyman Park, and Essex. A privately pressed and distributed single was issued in 1970 titled “A Little Green.”
Berkow was later with the Pooba offshoot group Rock Hard Peter. Sandler went on to play in Calico.
