R&B group featured former members of 1970s band The Kendells; husband and wife Kashaka Olukayode (keyboardist) and Sauda Olukayode (lead female vocalist).

Sauda, the former Yolanda Gurate aka ‘Landy’ had won The Randy Dennis Best Fest in 1996.

The Classic Revue also featured Glenn Bydume (male lead vocals), Jamie Simpson (guitar), John Thornton (bass), Gordon Mack (drums), Juan Woodard (percusssion, vocals).

The group was managed by Regina Whitlock. The group was Budweiser Showdown winner 1988 with their original song “Don’t Stop Knocking”, and won a trip to New York to perform at the Apollo Theater.

Locally they performed popular hits and original songs at the Belvedere 13th Floor, Gentlemen 10, Pargo’s, Twenty Grand, Martin’s West…
