The Chesapeakes finished as a finalist in the huge Teen Fair Battle of the Bands held at the Civic Center in June 1968. The band appeared at teen centers (Parkville…), CYO’s (St. Brigid’s, Sacred Heart of Jesus, Our Lady of Fatima…) and school dances. Also performed at the Hubert Humphrey Campaign Rally on August 1, 1968 sharing the stage with Frank Sinatra, and other celebrities.
