Founded in 1979 by brothers Tim, Mark, and Roland Miskimon B.F.P. is a small operation in Dundalk that produces big sounds. The studio was originally founded primarily to record the music of Basement Floor. They have grown into a facility that has done radio commercials and jingles as well as countless recordings by local musicians as diverse as the Toyz, Gaynell Colburn, Space Band, Mirrors, Thee Katatonix, Van Dykes, Mickey Light, Scarlet Angel… In addition to local groups, they worked with many national groups including Turtles, Grass Roots, and the Buckinghams.

In 1986 B.F.P. released an LP titled “Maryland Musicians for Music” (BFP 198657) with the purpose of promoting the local music scene. The album featured cuts produced and recorded by various groups at the B.F.P. studios.
