Oella (Catonsville – Ellicott City) Chicago style rock cover band. Members included Bob Mickey (horns ex-Fabulous Monarchs), George Ward (lead guitar), Dale Hart (bass), Joe Seitz (keyboards), and Bill Zadera (drums). Band of Gold was a teen group that played mostly teen centers and school dances. Seen at Lakeland Recreation Center, Hamilton Rec. Center, St, Ursula’s CYO, St. Dominic’s CYO, a rock festival at the Sussex Teen Center on June 14, 1970. Also seen at Herring Run, Woodlawn, Kenwood, Hereford, Cockeysville, Stemmers Run – and other Teen Centers.
