Pop rock originals and covers band featuring Jay Filippone (guitar, vocals), Kenny Braseau (bass, vocals), and Mike Lafferty (drums, vocals). As a trio they performed at Poe’s Pub, Max’s on Broadway, E.J. Bugs, Dulaney Inn, Chester’s Place, Nicky D’s, and other private parties and events.
Vocalist Rob Brubaker joined the group in March 1989 and the band became known as Social Roulette, playing gigs at E.J Bugs, Dulaney Inn, and Schaefer’s in Towson. By August 1989 Brubaker was asked to leave. Reverting back to their original name, As the Crow Flies performed what turned out to be their last gig on September 22, 1989 at the 15 Mile House. Shortly afterward Braseau quit and the group called it quits.
