Classical, jazz, and pop pianist originally from New York. Relocated to Baltimore where he became a piano instructor at the Peabody Conservatory.
Performed at the Prime Rib where he recorded the jazz album “Rare Sounds at The Prime Rib” accompanied by Ken Custer (bass), and Purnell Rice (drums).
Member of the Meyer Davis Navy that performed on ocean cruise ships. He also performed with artists such as Jane Morgan, Roy Eldridge, and Coleman Hawkins.
Seen at the Belvedere 13th Floor with Bill Nelson on bass.
Aitken became a piano instructor and concert choir director at Kenwood High School during the ‘80s-90s. In 1999 he founded Nimrod Productions, a commercial studio orchestra that performed soundtracks.
