When the Fidelities split in 1961, drummer ‘Woody’ Perry assembled a new band that was known as Rusty & the Fidels fronted by vocalist Rusty Taylor, with Ed Schwartzman (guitar -Sentries, Matadors, Upsetters), Barry Sachs (guitar –Upsetters), Rich Bowman (bass -Upsetters), and John Young (keyboards). The group was managed by Jack Hart and played frequently at the Sahara Club.
