The Ellicott Brothers band featured ex Horde/Ignoramous members Roger West (guitar), and Clay Lucas (keyboards, and keyboard bass), along with ex-Boat drummer Bill Stahly. The band played mostly school dances and teen centers in Howard County. Clay eventually moved out west and bass guitarist Gary Norris joined the band.

In 1973 they placed an ad for a keyboard player. The trio was joined by former Sage keyboardist Chuck Grim. Norris later left the band and was replaced with Alan Potocki (ex-Renegades, Broth).

West began traveling a lot as part of his job and the band split up in 1974. Stahly and Grim went on to form a new version of Sage. Stahly later played in Bandit, and Nightshift. Potocki went on to join Raven, and Taxie. West later rejoined Grim in a subsequent version of Sage…
