R&B band that provided backing music for Little Sammy & the Twilighters / Wee Three. Members of the band included Johnny Bell (sax), Leroy Bruce (organ), Reggie Smith aka ‘Nicky’ (bass), Darnell (drums). Arthur Scribner (keyboards) joined later.
The Commancheros performed at cabarets, cocktail slips, block parties, Operation Champ, etc…
Smith later with the Softones. Scribner worked with many local groups as well working and recording with the famous Manhattans.
