Carroll County rock band whose name was taken from a John Lennon song. Members included Mickey Steeves (guitar), Carey Ziegler (rhythm guitar, bass ex-Brandywine), Steve Zabel (bass, harmonica ex-Heavy Water), and John Robinson (drums). Cold Turkey could be seen performing Top-40 and original music at South Carroll High School dances and the Taylorsville Hunt Club. The Hunt Club dances were sponsored by the Blue Duck Production Company run by Jim Mathias and Bobby Mercer. Mathias later became Mayor of Ocean City, Maryland.
Ziegler went on to play bass in many top Baltimore area bands. Zabel joined Alabark, and the Craig Cummings Band.
