Veteran of many local bar bands through the ‘60s and ‘70s, guitarist Lew Cammarata started out with the Oxfords, and went on to the Notions, Crystal, Nicky C & the Chateaux, and Jeremiah.
Lew later moved to L.A., eventually joining punk/new wave band The Zippers. They released a single (“He’s A Rebel” b/w “You’re So Strange”), and a 10” titled “a six-song mini album”, both in 1980 on Rhino Records produced by Ray Manzarek of the Doors.
A few L.A. bands later, and after a long hiatus from the music scene, Lewis picked up the guitar again while living in Virginia Beach, this time playing the blues throughout the club circuit. He moved to Phoenix in 2001, and in 2003 released his first solo album “Monster in Disguise” (Statue Records). His second album release was in 2010 “Lemme Outta Here” (Funzalo Records).
