Alt-rock band played covers mixed with originals. Rob Belanger (guitar, vocals, songwriter), Doug Casteen (lead guitar), Michael Watson (bass), Jeff Knabe (drums), and Ted Thompson (keyboards). Belanger and Watson were both former members of Charlie Don’t Surf.
The group strived to be recognized for their original songs. Their first full length CD was released in 1993 and featured Belanger, Casteen, Watson, and Knabe. The CD consisted of studio recordings and tracks recorded live at Max’s on Broadway.
Shortly thereafter Thompson and Casteen left the group, and guitarist Matt Miceli joined.
The group became very popular in the Baltimore/DC circuit playing clubs, colleges and festivals. Seen locally at Max’s on Broadway, Bohager’s, Cafe Tattoo, Donnelly’s (Frederick) as well as the Frederick City Summer Concert Series. They shared stages with national acts such as Toad the Wet Sprocket, Til Tuesday, and others.
Rob later entertained as a solo artist. Sadly, he passed away of prostate cancer at age 47 on January 2, 2017.
