WBAL-FM 97.9 featured a short-lived experimental progressive rock music format during 1969-71. The show was syndicated out of WNEW-FM New York and hosted by progressive radio pioneer ‘Rosco’ whose reading of poetry between songs was imitated widely at college stations.
