Seen at JHU Med School dances, Stemmer’s Run Jr. High Teen dances, Towson Catholic High, Cockeysville Teen Center, St. Ursula’s CYO, University of Maryland College Park Homecoming, Unity Hall, Overlea Teen Center, Outdoor Rock Concerts at Cub Hill, Horn’s Lounge, Mr. Bojangles….

Members of Upper Echelon included Kevin Gouldman (guitar), Matt Peroutka (bass), Fred Dierken (keyboards), Jim Voshell (sax), Larry King (trumpet), Mark Thompson (drums), with dual male/female vocalists Carlos Olaguer and Terry Heath. When Mark left Terry’s cousin Tom joined. Heath was replaced with Fran in 1975. Ken Wagner replaced Fran in 1976. In 1977 Gouldman was replaced with guitarist Rick Olaguer.

Carlos went on to duo with Norm Seiffert in ‘90s-00s.

The group became known as Delightful.

Thompson later with Hot Property… Voshell later with New Expressions. He and Peroutka also recorded with Michael Anthony…
