Acoustic duo of Patrick Raymond and Ed Sparks. At the onset Sparks played concurrently with Free Flight. The duo began at The Red Door Coffeehouse in Arnold, Maryland…a monthly non-profit coffeehouse, and expanded to many more venues.
After Free Flight amicably disbanded in 2003, bassist Steve McCoy joined and they became the trio Sparks, Raymond & McCoy. The group continued playing steady gigs through this writing (2009). Besides performing as a trio, the members performed solo gigs, as well as duos of Sparks & Raymond, and Sparks & McCoy.
