Blues vocalist and songwriter. Her band ArJuHi played the Eight by Ten in early ‘90s. The Ursula Ricks Project blues band performed at clubs throughout the mid-Atlantic region including Cat’s Eye Pub, Full Moon Saloon, Café Tattoo, Belvedere 13th Floor… as well as local high-profile events such as Artscape, and Baltimore Blues Festivals.
Ursula, backed by Todd Miller (lead guitar), Jimmi Sexton (rhythm guitar), Reds Adkins (bass), Lucky Lee (organ), and Barry Turner (drums) added their version of the Albert King classic “Born Under a Bad Sign” to the 2003 blues comp Baltimore on Tap.
