They recorded at Ru-Jac records and released a single circa 1963-64 featuring two high-energy hot rod / surf type instrumental rockers.
The Reekers nucleus of Triplett, Tom Guernsey and Berberich later evolved into the legendary D.C. recording band the Hangmen and could be seen frequenting Georgetown area clubs. The original version of the song “What A Girl Can’t Do” was done by the Reekers. It was re-recorded and released on the Monument label by the Hangmen and eventually becoming a D.C. ‘garage band’ classic. The Hangmen released three singles and an album on the Monument label during 1965-66.
