Group formed in the 1980s to perform at the B&O Railroad Museum and on excursion trains that used to operate on the Chessie System’s B&O and Western Maryland Railway until the CSX Corp stopped the operation of these trips around 2005. The group had four original members of Shelley’s Emeralds (see bio).

Joe Hopkins, and John Nowakowski
Members included Dana Moran (lead vocals), Shelley Hopkins (guitar), Mark Sheid (guitar), and John Nowakowski (guitar), Larry ‘Limey’ Prascus (sax), and Joe Hopkins (drums). Everyone with the exception of Mark Sheid and Dana Moran performed with Shelley’s Emeralds.
The group formed in the late 1980’s and eventually changed its’ name to The Railroad Ramblers and continues (as of 2019) to entertain primarily at senior centers, retirement communities, oldies dances and parties.
